Congratulations Dr. Jorge Cárdenas-Belaunzarán

We want to congratulate Dr. Cárdenas-Belaunzarán as he has been elected for the 2025-2026 term as President of the National Neuro-Ophthalmology College (Colegio Nacional de Neuro-Oftalmología) in Mexico. This society is the leading Neuro-Ophthalmology academic community in Mexico and has members in other countries of Latin America. The College groups the majority of the Neuro-Ophthalmologists in Mexico and aims to keep them up to date by organizing monthly sessions, annual meetings. As well as organizing academic and advocacy events for ophthalmologists and other medical practitioners in the country. Dr. Cárdenas-Belaunzarán has been the Neuro-Ophthalmology Department Chair for the last 5 years at Asociación para Evitar la Ceguera en México, APEC (Association to prevent blindness in Mexico), one of the biggest ophthalmologic hospitals in his country, where he started a Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship Program for both ophthalmologists and neurologists alike.
