How to Donate Materials to NOVEL

As a valued member of our community, we invite you to consider sharing your academic contributions with NOVEL (Neuro-Ophthalmology Virtual Education Library). If you have any educational materials, publications, case studies, or presentations that could benefit the next generation of learners, we would greatly appreciate your donation. Your wealth of experience and knowledge is invaluable, and by contributing to NOVEL, you can continue to make a lasting impact on the field of neuro-ophthalmology.


Instructions for Donating Materials

  1. Personal Collection Qualification
    • If you are donating 8 or more items, your materials qualify for a personal collection.
    • Please submit a CV and headshot along with your collection.
    • If you have fewer than 8 items, you can still submit your materials, but they will not be have a personal collection.
  2. Digitization
    • All materials must be in digitized before submission.
  3. Organizing Your Collection
    • Where possible, organize your materials into themes.
    • If your materials are unorganized, we can arrange for a volunteer from the NOVEL committee to assist you.
  4. Educational Quality
    • Ensure that your materials are of high educational quality with detailed written/verbal descriptions and annotations where necessary.
    • If your materials lacks essential educational elements, we can connect you with a NOVEL committee volunteer to assist.
  5. Peer Review
    • All submitted materials will go through NOVEL's standard peer review process.

How to Submit

  • For large submissions: If you have a large number of materials, please contact Bryan Hull directly to discuss the best way to get them submitted.
  • For smaller submissions: If you are submitting only a few items, you can use the standard submission process on the NOVEL website: Submit Materials Here
