Finance Committee Highlights

What is your committee working on and how does it impact NANOS Members? 

The 4 committees within the Financial Arm of NANOS highlighted are not the most exciting or glamorous but play a crucial role in the functioning of our organization.They are responsible for managing the financial resources and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. 

1. The Audit Committee provides information for audit by an external accounting firm to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The committee evaluates the external audit and provides recommendations to the NANOS Executive Board.
2. The Investment Committee plans investment strategies and supervises NANOS’s investments in order to maximize returns while managing risk.
3. The Finance Committee works with the NANOS Executive Office to prepare the NANOS annual budget for review and approval of Executive Board. It supervises investments and accounts and reviews financial reports to be presented to the Board. The committee reviews existing fiscal policies and develops recommendations for improving the financial status of NANOS.
