Honoring Dr. Norman J. Schatz's Life

A “giant” in neuro-ophthalmology (in a small but mighty package!) left us with a smile on the morning of June 28, 2024, at the age of 88 years young.

It is with tremendous sadness, but joy in knowing the thousands of lives he touched, that I let the neuro-ophthalmology family (of which he was one of the founding fathers and grandfathers) know that Norman Schatz has died. He was surrounded by his loving 3 daughters, and leaving this world the way he chose - at home in Key Biscayne with a beautiful sunrise.

I know that wherever he is, he is telling them a joke.
